The President announced the December holiday party details. It will be held December 10th at the Crescent Point Community Center thanks to Judy Purcell. This is earlier than our usual meeting date to allow as many members to come as possible.  Claudia said that the details about the potluck will be available at the next meeting. In the past the guild sponsored members only Christmas themed quilt drawing held during the meeting.  This year members will get several tickets for their $20 donation and bid on seven different items. There will be games and an ornament exchange during the meeting.  Be sure to get your Christmas ornament ready.  Claudia stressed that a handmade ornament is expected. (We’ve got time.)

Today’s Trick and Treat Program was the usual load of laughs and very incomplete projects coughed out of the deep recesses of members’ closets. Several members did receive treats that included completed quilt tops. Some projects resurfaced from past years. Claudia regaled the guild with her story of the apple core quilt top and its travels. Confusion and laughter reigned as Ruth McKinney brought items for new quilters to use in the trick or treat game since they do not yet have UFOs. Fun was had!

TAQG is committed to promoting Quilts of Valor. The TAQG Board would like a Quilt of Valor from each guild to present at the next rally. Due date is March 2020.
