The President, Claudia opened the meeting by welcoming the members. She introduced Liz Cooper who was selling tickets for the Arlington Women’s Club labeled “Quilts Excreta.”

Reports from Board Members:

Sunshine and Shadows: Charlotte H.

-Rita Wilson in rehabilitation.

-Condolences to Bobbie P. and Pamela P.

-Maria   G. is waiting for a kidney.

-Virgina T. husband had a fall.

-Janet C. had back surgery.

-Marilyn Z. knee surgery.

-Kathy L. in hospital, doing well, wrong cell number on the membership.

The president spoke of the July supper. She also spoke of the next meetings speaker  Kathy Dunigan will be presenting a program on appliqué. 

Tonight’s Program: Presentation on Miniature Quilts

She spoke of her miniature quilts. She gave a flyer out that told of tips on doing miniature quilts that was informative. She also told of the importance of the tools that are needed when making a miniature quilt. The following are a few of the tools that are helpful: type of fabric, size of the pins, small rotary cutter, rotating cutting mat, size of the machine needle, type of thread, throat plate to a single hole, stiletto, and low-loft batting.
