Coming up in November the Plainview Quilters will be speaking and sharing all about the underground RR quilts. By the way if any of you know some easy dinner or breakfast ideas for sharing with our speakers, please call Rhonda H. at Corner Square Quilts. They will be staying overnight.

Raffle Quilt

We have sold $1800 worth of raffle quilt tickets. CJ F. sold $150 at the Hippie Fest and a soccer game. We still need volunteers to sell tickets at Country Reporter Day on Waxahachie this Saturday for the afternoon. Contact Barbara S.

Sunshine and Shadow

Patti G. - her sister is in the hospital
Ruth W. - her brother-in-law passed away

There were about 12 people present at the October workshop. We worked on more string quilts for donation.

Next month the workshop will be held at the 1890's house. We will have more information later. We will be assembling the blocks into quilts. It will be the same day as the meeting and most likely start at 1:00 p.m. and go to 4 or 5.

Debbie M. and Georgia C. will be delivering the hats for charity. Thank you all for helping with the quilts and the hats. Let's keep up the good work and bless as many people as we can.

Carolyn I. won the blocks from the October BOM. For November we will be making a friendship star variation pattern with Christmas fabrics. Click here for instructions.

For December's meeting we will be exchanging gifts for anyone who is interested in paticipating. All you have to do is make anything you would like out of Christmas fabric- an ornament, a tea towel, a mug rug, or a whole quilt. The possibilities are endless. I think this will be a great way to show our creative imaginations. If you happen to receive an ornament and you do not wish to keep the ornament there will be a place to put it and let someone else have it.

This month's program

We had our annual Trick or Treat program this month. I think it was a great one and I believe most people went home with a treat instead of a trick, although Claudia K. just can't seem to get away from the apple cores! We had 23 participants.
