Cedar Hill Quilt Guild: Salad night! July 18th, 2017
Meeting was called to order at 1835.
New member: Kim
New Projects: Georgia has a pattern for knitted bra prosthesis
Stephanie and Bailey passed out mystery challenges that are due at Christmas.
Sunshine and Shadows: Judy's daughter is newly married, but her new husband has brain/lung cancer.
Pat's husband's prostate cancer has recurred.
Holly has a knee replacement coming up. Prayers are welcome !
Our guild quilt placed 2nd at the Ellis county quilt show!!!
Show and Tell: Georgia did 15 dog beds. What lucky pups.... I bet they didn't know she got 1st place at Ellis county show.
Gina showed us a lovely us flag theme quilt, an orphan block quilt of valor, and pillow cases.
Holly showed as a turquoise quilt and a Texas Tech quilt.
Jean showed us 4 quilts: a bright pattern on a dark background, a pretty quilt for a relative, a modern one with Chevrons, and a scrappy one using brights.
Claudia did a quilt with a panel that had been won in a door prize; as well as, 15 baby hats.
One more member did a very whimsical giraffe themed quilt.
We had so much fun exchanging pin cushions: who ever thought there were so many styles. Meeting was over at 2015. Many thanks to our hostess for the party.
Future: Tuesday Aug 15th , pre-meeting quilting in the afternoon at the 1890 house for charity projects.
