There will be a pillowcase workshop on May 17th, 2016 at the same place we have our monthly meetings at 2:00 p.m. Bring your sewing machine and all your tools. Bring food if you would like. Come and help make pillowcases for some wonderful children. This is the same day as the meeing for May so there is lots of time.
May - Vietnamese quilts
June - My 1st quilt and my latest quilt. This program will be a member presentation. This will show how we started and our progress we have made. This is a great way to tell your quilting story and encourage other quilters.
July- our annual salad supper- most like to be held at Judy P.'s community building.
Block of the month
Mamie made some wonderfully cute baby bibs out of the blocks she won for the kids at her church.
April's block of the month brought in 40 blocks. There were 2 winners - Judy C. and Angie B.

Brenda has the raffle tickets and photos of the beautiful raffle quilt. The quilt will be housed at Corner Square Quilts. If you know of a location that you could sell raffle tickets and showcase the quilt, please contact Brenda. For every 20 tickets you sell you will have your name put in a drawing for a prize from Corner Square Qjuilts. Make sure you turn in your tickets in an envelope with your name and the amount you sold written on the front.
Bobby P. has lots of good books to check out and some for sale. Also all the magazines are 5 for $1. You cant' beat that.
There was a vote taken on whether to increase the amount of money allocated for the Heat and Bond we are using for the TAQG rally giveaways. Also, the leftover Heat and Bond will be sold to Guild members at cost. This was approved by the members.
Jean S. will be responsible for overseeing the 2017 charity quilt.
We have new business cards at the guild meetings and also at Corner Square Quilts.
Marilyn Z. is still selling lunch tickets for the TAQG rally for a lunch from Mcallisters. She also has pins and raffle tickets.

Corner Square Quilts - There will be an embroidery class starting in June. The new block of the month has already started and it is a paper pieced quilt. If you have never paper pieced, don't worry. They will help you learn and they even have people meeting every Tuesday at the shop to work on them together. The Little Mermaid Doll panels are in.
Ben Franklin- The second Saturday they will be having a baby doll dress quilt class with more classes coming in May.
Lone Star Laser - Josh Jackson and David England presented some of the beautiful quilt kits that they put together to make applique a much easier process. They also do custom laser cutting.
